Nelle ultime ore, Entertainment Weekly ha pubblicato online una nuova immagine ufficiale del film, che mostra Peter Quill alias Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) insieme alla Gamora (Zoe Saldaña) del 2014 vista in Avengers: Endgame, accompagnata da alcune dichiarazioni del regista James Gunn.
Nello specifico, il filmmaker ha spiegato di aver fatto il possibile affinché il film fosse un “addio appropriato” per sé stesso, per i personaggi, per il cast e la crew:
“Quando ho iniziato a lavorare al primo film dei Guardiani, sentivo di esserne attratto. Era come se sentissi il bisogno di farlo, una vocazione, se ha senso. Quindi sono molto ottimista per il Vol.3 perché ho fatto tutto quello che potevo per rendere questa trilogia la migliore possibile. Mi sento incredibilmente fortunato ed è una benedizione aver avuto tutte queste persone intorno a me e realizzarlo insieme a loro. È la più grande benedizione della mia vita.”
